1965: Preparation works for school establishment

Nov. 16^th, 1966: Was checked and ratified to officially set up and was named The Seventh Junior High School of Taichung

Sep. 1^st, 1968  :Cooperated with the government’s 9-Year Compulsory Educational System and was renamed to The Seventh Compulsory Junior High School of Taichung

July. 1^st, 1971:   Was renamed again to Taichung Municipal Tong Feng Junior High School

1972:  Night Extension Classes were added to school program

2004 :  New school entrance was completed and started using. The school’s front door moved from

            Cijhong Road to Jenhe Road

2007:  Campus is renovated. New education building is completed and starts using..

54年：籌備建校

55年11月16日：奉核定以台中市立第七初級中學立案

57年9月1日：配合九年國教的實施更名為市立第七國民中學

60年7月1日：再改名為台中市立東峰國民中學

61年：增設夜間補習學校

93年：新校門啟用，學校大門由七中路轉往仁和路。

96年：校園更新，新教學大樓完工啟用。
